Taking place as part of inaugural GO Fest (Whistler Great Outdoors Festival) this weekend, Whistler Film Festival‘s Adventure Film Series features a 20-film lineup from six countries comprised of a selection of the world’s best independent outdoor, adventure films from extreme sport to activism through adventure. The series includes eight screenings over three days from May 16 to 18, 2014. Sailing, Surfing, Climbing, Mountain Climbing, Free skiing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Ultra Marathon Running and Paddling are among some of the film themes, which include five features and three short programs. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) continues its Outreach meetings throughout Canada and now confirms venues for Québec City, Montréal, and Ottawa. The CMF will meet with stakeholders in 18 cities during the cross-country Outreach tour to present changes to the 2014-2015 Guidelines, the 2013-2014 funding results, the application process and to answer questions. The meetings will be moderated by Nathalie Clermont, CMF Director of Program Management.
