BC’s Government is inviting written submissions from students, the private career training sector and the public to guide the development of legislation and supporting regulations needed to regulate the sector in British Columbia. As a result of a core review, government announced its intention on April 17, 2014, to directly regulate the private career training sector. Before that can happen, legislation is required to dissolve the Private Career Training Institution Agency and transfer its functions to the Ministry of Advanced Education. Well-known Vancouver actor, director, writer and musician Mackenzie Gray is making a splash – yet again – at BC’s prestigious Leo Awards. New production footage is available today of Kaiju-a-Gogo, the new strategy-action hybrid title from Kerberos Productions. The game is a light strategy/action hybrid currently in the midst of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. During its first week on Kickstarter, Kaijua-a-Gogo received more backers than any previous campaign from Kerberos, and supporters from around the globe have pledged over 40% of the game’s budget. In response to player enthusiasm, the developers have released some initial gameplay footage and added a bonus skin for the game’s monsters to be exclusively available to Kickstarter backers as a token of thanks for their support. Following on the renewal of their partnership agreement in August 2013, Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Group of Funds are pleased to announce the five English-language and French-language feature-length documentaries that have benefited from funding support under the Theatrical Documentary Program.
