Today at its Digital Days event, Ubisoft shared more details about several of its upcoming titles. First on the information list is Child of Light, a digital title to be released in 2014 on current- and next-generation platforms as well as PC.  The game is being created by a small team of seasoned developers based at Ubisoft Montreal. Child of Light has been developed on Ubisoft’s UbiArt Framework, a powerful engine that lets programmers and artists to bring their art to life by allowing original concept art to be inserted unedited into the game world. Funcom‘s “Get Your Art In The Game” is a competition which lets players draw their own ideas for outfits and the winners will get their creations made in The Secret World. The Secret World already has an unparalleled diversity in outfits, and we wish to give the players the opportunity to both expand on this and share their creativity with the whole community. The competition started on August the 16^th and will run until September the 15^th. Hot off the grill, a new video game studio has arrived in St. John’s. Founded by two game developers with a passion for intense experiences, Red Meat Games offers the kind of video games that players have a hunger for, and their first offering is partway through a very successful Kickstarter campaign. Steel & Steam: Episode 1 is a retro fantasy steampunk JRPG situated in a large open world. The studio’s initial funding goal has been met, and the developers are now working towards realizing their stretch goals, to which further contributions received will be applied. First revealed at PAX East 2013, Eon Altar cooperative role-playing tabletop video game is going to Gen Con in Indianapolis this August. Currently in development at Vancouver’s Flying Helmet Games, Eon Altar invites five friends to fight through dungeons to uncover ancient secrets and compete for glory and wealth, using smartphone handset to control your character’s actions, and a shared tablet to adventure through dungeons as a group. After 6 years of success as a webcomic, Ryan Sohmer and Lar deSouza are thrilled to announce that Looking For Group has a new video game adaptation currently in pre-production with Netherlands-based developer Paladin Studios. LFG & The Fork of Truth is a 4-player co-op RPG set in the world of Looking For Group. It is a top-down button masher that will allow fans of the comic an unprecedented opportunity to explore the world and play as the characters that they have come to love.
