Nintendo has prepared a massive lineup of new games and products for the 2014 holiday season. The lineup includes new entries from some of the biggest franchises in gaming, new hardware bundles for Wii U and Nintendo 2DS, and new amiibo interactive figures featuring some of the most iconic characters in the world of video games. The holiday shopping season begins soon for Nintendo fans, as the first 12 amiibo interactive figures become available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of just $13.99 each. The first dozen characters available for pre-order at select retailers are Mario, Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer, with more on the way in the future. Square Enix and Vancouver’s United Front Games have confirmed that Sleeping Dogs™: Definitive Edition is due to launch on the 10^th October 2014 in European and PAL territories for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Windows® PC. Sleeping Dogs™: Definitive Edition is a re-mastered update of the critically acclaimed Sleeping Dogs which released in 2012. The capabilities of today’s hardware have truly brought the vibrant Hong Kong experience to life. Canadian video game developer HB Studios has announced a global partnership with golf simulator specialist ProTee United. The simulator version of the The Golf Club will allow golf enthusiasts worldwide to play the game all year round with their own golf clubs and a real golf ball in the comfort of their own homes. Golf simulator users will also benefit from the thousands of courses created by TGC players on PC and console. Apart from enjoying the amazing graphics on a big screen players will be able to create their own course, play online with friends, and play in online tournaments worldwide. Video game fans will get the chance to play as the baddest bad guy of The Legend of Zelda video game series. Ganondorf, nemesis of Link and aspiring Triforce owner, will become a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Hyrule Warriors video game, which launches September 26 for the Wii U home console. It has been revealed in a late night note from Hinterland Games that the team has derived so much useful feedback from The Long Dark‘s early Alpha playtesting, that they want to open up the Sandbox to a much wider audience, and to that end a decision was made to bring the Sandbox Alpha to Steam Early Access in September 2014. New production footage is available today of Kaiju-a-Gogo, the new strategy-action hybrid title from Kerberos Productions. The game is a light strategy/action hybrid currently in the midst of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. During its first week on Kickstarter, Kaijua-a-Gogo received more backers than any previous campaign from Kerberos, and supporters from around the globe have pledged over 40% of the game’s budget. In response to player enthusiasm, the developers have released some initial gameplay footage and added a bonus skin for the game’s monsters to be exclusively available to Kickstarter backers as a token of thanks for their support. Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 4, an open-world, first-person shooter that delivers the most expansive and immersive Far Cry experience ever. Far Cry 4 will be available November 18 in the Americas and November 20 in the EMEA territories for PlayStation 4®, PlayStation® 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Development on Far Cry 4 is being led by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Kiev.
