Funcom has released brand new screenshots and a developer diary video for its upcoming massively multiplayer online game ‘The Secret World’. The new screenshots includes a look at characters from the three secret societies – the Illuminati, the Dragon, and the Templars.

Two of the screenshots also shows the new character faces graphics that are in development, a huge leap in detail and quality from the character face graphics that have been presented in screenshots, videos and live demos of the game earlier. Read the rest of this entry »

Majesco Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Bagdasarian Productions, the owner of Alvin and The Chipmunks, have revealed a selection of the official songs that will be featured in their upcoming dance video game, Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, which is based upon the third installment of the blockbuster film franchise coming to theatres this December 16^th. Local developer Tim Lewinson has been able to go public about the project he has been working on for Beefy Media. We can now consider ourselves forewarned that the Sour Patch Candy Kids will be coming to consoles in the way of a game called World Gone Sour. The first ever board game with an official smartphone app extension, Con Sonar! will be released by Exequor Studios on October 6th through The Game Crafter, while its extension will be available on the Android Market, with more smartphone platforms in development.

Klei Entertainment and EA Partners have announced Shank™ 2, the sequel to last year’s Annie Award nominated downloadable action title. The original game was praised by critics at 1UP.com for being “…the freshest, most unequivocally rewarding beat-em-up game to come along in a decade” and EGM Magazine called the original Shank “…one of the most intense action experiences of the last few years”.
