Mobilicity Supports Ontario Bill 5 And Wireless Consumer Protection Laws

mobilicityMobilicity has reaffirmed its support of Ontario MPP David Orazietti’s wireless consumer protection legislation, scheduled to go into Second Reading on December 1st. Ontario’s Bill 5, originally introduced in 2010 as Bill 133, The Wireless Phone, Smart Phone and Data Service Transparency Act 2011, would require wireless carriers to provide clear disclosure of all optional and mandatory services and contract cancellation penalties, and limit contract termination fees. Still Time To Enter The 21st Century Classroom Video Challenge

Mindshare LearningThe MindShare Learning Report, Canada’s Learning & Technology eMagazine and supporting sponsors will be accepting submissions for the 4th Annual MindShare Learning Report™ 21st Century Classroom Video Challenge until midnight EST on Friday December 16, 2011. This contest challenges Canadian K-12 teachers (from publicly funded schools) to create and upload a 3-5 minute video showcasing their best practices teaching with technology to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.  The official announcement of the 2011/12 three “Grand Prize Winners” will be on February 1, 2012. 7GEntertainment Receives 8M Dollar Investment

The Fonds de solidarité FTQ has announced an $8 million investment in Vancouver’s 7GEntertainment which will be used to launch online video game publishing and hosting services. Roughly 100 jobs will be created over the next two years as a result of this investment. The announcement was made today by Fonds president and CEO Yvon Bolduc during a speech at the Canadian Club of Montreal. Teletoon Announces Winter-Spring 2012 Lineup

OMDC Leads Ontario Producers in Mission to Boost Co-Production
