Shaw Media and Insight Productions announced today that a national casting call for the first Canadian edition of the international smash-hit reality series, Big Brother, will begin on August 1, 2012. This announcement comes on the heels of Shaw Media sealing a deal with Endemol to produce the first-ever Canadian installment of the wildly popular international sensation. Canadians 19 years and older will have the option to apply online and in person at open casting calls at select cities across Canada. The space battle between the Allies and the Axis powers rages on as Montreal publisher Meridian4 today released the fourth new content installment – the Science Vessel – for  intergalactic PC online strategy game Stellar Impact by Tindalos Interactive.  Using a vast array of gravitational technology, the Science Vessel allows players to gain the tactical upper hand in taking control of enemy ships.  This ship can venture deep into enemy lines to disrupt other ships’ formations and break the cohesion of the opposing fleets through its hi-tech arsenal, giving players the advantage they need on the battlefield. In what can only be tagged as cruel irony, Activision has announced the release of Radical Entertainment‘s Prototype 2 for PC in the UK today – and below is how a site for game journalists listed the announcement in its daily email of the latest press releases. Naturally, nowhere in the news release does it mention that Activision has ravaged Radical and turned it into a dark shadow of its former creative and vibrant self. According to the publisher, Prototype 2 hadn’t “found its audience” – well, if versions of the game are still being released, wasn’t the action taken against Radical a tad premature?
