Montreal software publisher Strategy First Inc. has announced that the 3rd person arcade shooter Deep Black: Reloaded is now available on Steam for $29.99, and comes with a one week discount of 20%. Deep Black Reloaded is a 3rd person arcade video game that is fully integrated with Steam Works. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has announced the 2012-2013 Performance Envelope allocations (PDF) to its website. On April 3 2012, 62 English broadcasters shared $182 million and 29 French broadcasters $89 million in envelope allocations for use in the 2012-2013 fiscal year. CBC got the lion’s share with over $61.3 million total funding, followed by CTV at $17.2 million and YTV at $15.2 million. Maybe if Global had gotten more than the $9.6 million it did, and Showcase had gotten more than the $8.4 million it did, Endgame would still be in production. I am curious as to how much of this funding is actually used on original Canadian programming, and how much is used to import shows from other countries. Can anyone answer this for me?
