Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that EA Sports™ FIFA 14 is allowing fans to bring their FIFA 14 Ultimate Team experiences with them to the new generation of consoles this year. Fans will be able to access* their FIFA 14 Ultimate Team full roster, in-game items and in-game currency (coins) from either console: between Xbox 360® and Xbox One, and between PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4. Today Piranha Games and Infinite Game Publishing honour the passing of one of the youngest and most talented Canadian pilots in the MechWarrior Online Inner Sphere, five-year-old Sarah Marie Alida Parries. A custom Jenner Class Chassis Champion ‘Mech, “Sarah’s ‘Mech”, is available now for pilots to purchase for $10 USD through August 20^th, with 100 percent of the proceeds (after third-party transaction fees) going to the Canadian Cancer Society. The five year old Vancouver native loved piloting the Jenner ‘Mech in MechWarrior Online with her father, Jon Parries. Calling the enemy ‘Mechs “baddies”, she and her father dominated the Inner Sphere on a regular basis in the current Open Beta. British Columbia representatives are in the spotlight as tens of thousands of participants converge on Anaheim for SIGGRAPH 2013, the place to be if you work with computer graphics and interactive technologies. B.C. is preparing to host SIGGRAPH 2014, the 40th anniversary edition of the influential event next year in Vancouver, which became the first location to host SIGGRAPH North America outside of the United States in 2011. That event welcomed 15,872 artists, research scientists, game developers, filmmakers and researchers from 74 countries. SIGGRAPH 2011 broke the city’s previous conference attendance records and, according to the Vancouver Convention Centre, generated an estimated $38.5 million in direct spending for the local economy.
