Square Enix London Studios, a part of Square Enix Europe, has announced its highly anticipated undercover cop drama Sleeping Dogs has officially launched in North America, and will be available on August 17^th in Europe and other PAL territories. Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed® III for PCs will be available on November 20th, just a few weeks after the game releases for the PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360® on October 20th. A modern take on the tactical strategy genre makes its public debut during Gamescom 2012 as Montreal game publisher Meridian4 and Danish game developer Full Control announce Frontline Tactics.  A tactical strategy game for the PC, Mac, iPad and iPhone, Frontline Tactics can be played in single-player mode, or two different multiplayer modes across either of the different gaming platforms.  Players can be playing on their iPad or iPhone against others who may be playing on their Windows laptop or iMac. Funcom has launched the first content update for The Secret World, bringing new experiences to the recently launched modern-day massively multiplayer online of myths, legends and conspiracies. In what can only be tagged as cruel irony, Activision has announced the release of Radical Entertainment‘s Prototype 2 for PC in the UK today – and below is how a site for game journalists listed the announcement in its daily email of the latest press releases. Naturally, nowhere in the news release does it mention that Activision has ravaged Radical and turned it into a dark shadow of its former creative and vibrant self. According to the publisher, Prototype 2 hadn’t “found its audience” – well, if versions of the game are still being released, wasn’t the action taken against Radical a tad premature?
