RPG Comic Looking For Group To Get Official Video Game

blind ferretAfter 6 years of success as a webcomic, Ryan Sohmer and Lar deSouza are thrilled to announce that Looking For Group has a new video game adaptation currently in pre-production with Netherlands-based developer Paladin Studios. LFG & The Fork of Truth is a 4-player co-op RPG set in the world of Looking For Group. It is a top-down button masher that will allow fans of the comic an unprecedented opportunity to explore the world and play as the characters that they have come to love. Clipless is a patent-pending solution to secure phones or tablets to clothing or surfaces. Simultaneously, they are unveiling a partnership with Y Combinator funded Tagstand, the creators of NFC Task Launcher. Clipless is the first wearable phone accessory that works with normal clothing, with or without pockets or a belt. Inspiration for the product came from female professionals who disliked the bulky traditional phone holsters but had no fashionable alternatives. IFTech Launches Kickstarter Campaign For ARAIG Gaming Device

OrbyTwenty-three year old IFTech entrepreneur Brodie Stanfield is betting on crowdfunding for an edge to take on the establishment. He has initiated a thirty day funding campaign for his company on Kickstarter, where he hopes to obtain funding for his project ARAIG. Attempts at funding have been made through the normal investor channels, but IFTech has been stymied by an unwillingness of investors to take the risk and back an idea which competes against billion dollar companies like Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. Shaw Helps Create “A World of Smiles” in Support of BC Children’s Hospital

a world of smilesShaw Communications and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, together with British Columbia’s South Asian community, are celebrating the 15th anniversary of A World of Smiles telethon on Sunday May 26, 2013. The telethon will air live on Sunday, May 26 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and aims to raise funds to help meet the most urgent health needs of BC’s children. Money raised is used to purchase essential medical equipment and to fund critical research into childhood disease and caregiver and family education programs. Registration Opens For Fourteenth Annual PMC Science Fair Fun Run

pmcsPMC-Sierra Science Fair Fun RunRegistration is now open for the fourteenth annual PMC Science Fair Fun Run, which will take place on Sunday, May 26th at the Athlete’s Village Plaza (the former Olympic Village). The Fun Run is the largest timed 5K race in BC and is one of the technology industry’s largest fundraising events. All registered Fun Run participants are eligible for prizes and receive free admission to the TELUS World of Science on the day of the race. Families can meet student science fair participants, view science fair projects, pick up free giveaways from run sponsors and participate in the day’s activities, all while learning how science education can be fun.
