This week, British Columbia takes centre stage to demonstrate the province’s growing strength in technology and digital arts during SIGGRAPH 2014, the world’s foremost computer graphics and art conference held at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Vancouver first hosted SIGGRAPH in 2011 and is the only city outside of the U.S.A. that has ever been selected for the North American conference. Ubisoft has released an update for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot that started the last round of Opulencia’s Hero Draft. The Runaway, available now and for the first time ever to all players until August 11 at 4:59pm UK time, is the final Hero to be featured in the first ever Opulencia’s Hero Draft. If the entire community performs 207,753 successful attacks with her over the course of the event, all participants will unlock the Retro Royalty Costume for her. In addition, players can earn a discount of over 60% of in-game currency on the price to unlock the Runaway by levelling her up. Players who reach level 15 will also earn an exclusive epic weapon. Canadian video game developer HB Studios has announced a global partnership with golf simulator specialist ProTee United. The simulator version of the The Golf Club will allow golf enthusiasts worldwide to play the game all year round with their own golf clubs and a real golf ball in the comfort of their own homes. Golf simulator users will also benefit from the thousands of courses created by TGC players on PC and console.
